A modular storage sectional rendered across three colourways and two room settings, for catalogue and e-commerce use. The same geometry carries beige top-grain leather, charcoal leather and a cream bouclé weave, with the lift-top storage chaise shown open in one view to demonstrate the mechanism. Colourway sets are less about the hero image than about consistency: the camera, lighting and room have to stay locked so a customer comparing two finishes is genuinely comparing the finishes.

[ 04 ] How it was made

The technical problem.

Colourway sets are an exercise in discipline rather than artistry. The camera, lens, lighting rig and every styling prop stay locked across all three variants, so a customer comparing beige leather against charcoal against cream bouclé is genuinely comparing upholstery and nothing else. Any drift in exposure between variants reads as a colour difference that does not exist in the product. The materials themselves behave very differently under the same light: top-grain leather has a tight specular highlight and holds a crease, while bouclé scatters light diffusely and needs real fibre displacement rather than a bump map to avoid looking like felt. We also rendered the lift-top storage chaise in the open position, because the mechanism is a selling point that a closed hero shot cannot communicate.
